Fishing is now officially fashionable. Huffer's crazily original fashion show 'Free the Fish' concluded Fashion Week at the glamorous venue of The Hilton, yet the actual show was staged outside on the only slightly less glamorous wharf. Fishermen lined the catwalk to set the mood, while the water, twinkling city lights and passing ferries just added to the spectacle.
The clothes only had a hint of the fishy theme about them; mostly they were bad-ass, biker-nerd ensembles that could take you anywhere. Girls wore charming little dresses with great smart jackets or slinky cardigans. I adored the elasticated romper shorts – they looked ridiculously cute. Guys were grown-up cool in their duffel coats, rain jackets and cropped pants (I loved the burgundy ones). Both sexes wore hot biker jackets and sprayed-on jeans, all in a quirky colour palette of mint green, mustard, blue, orange and a big green Swanndri check.
The styling really enhanced the looks, with adorable pom-pom beanies, slick sunnies, giant scarves, knee-high socks, Huffer 3-dot fingerless gloves and amazing shoes on both guys and gals.
It was an impressive and undeniably fun finale to a week of fashion shows. If only the after party wasn't so hard to get into!
